The ball is 52100 bearing steel, precision ground, heat treated, hard chrome plated. The body is 4130 chromoly steel, heat treated, silver zinc plated. The race is Alloy steel, heat treated, PTFE lined optional, zinc plating optional, with a PTFE-lined option (see the -T suffix) for maintenance-free operation.
Adding -T (e.g. JFXR6T) gets you the PTFE-lined race version for lubrication-free service instead of the standard alloy steel race. A stud option (suffix S) and a grease fitting option (suffix Z) are also available on this size — confirm which suffixes you need when ordering.
JFXR6(T) is the right-hand thread version and JFXL6(T) is the left-hand thread version of the same female rod end — they're typically ordered as a matched RH/LH pair for turnbuckle-style adjustable linkages, or individually when only a fixed-hand thread is needed.
